Dr. Surendra Kumar is the Director of Research, and brings with him an unrivalled experience of almost three decades in Crop Breeding and Research Management. A recipient of Senior Research Fellowship of CSIR, and plaque of appreciation from ICRISAT, his invaluable contributions towards ICRISAT – private sector Hybrid Parents Research Consortium on Dry Land Cereals, as a member of the consortia, are internationally acclaimed. Prior to driving research at Siri Seeds, Surendra served Bayer Bioscience for over 14 years, for Hytech Seeds for 5 years and also headed the Seed division R&D of Godrej Agrovet for close to 5 years. Surendra Kumar’s potential contribution is seen in the commercialization of several millet and cotton products, that wrote new stories of brand and business growth, besides active participation in the setting up of the R&D division.

R&D Staff:

• Dr Surendra Kumar is a Director-R&D and a Principal Bajra crop breeder by profession with a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from CCSHAU. He has worked in Seed Industry at different levels for 28 years. He was instrumental in commercialization of many successful hybrids.
• Dr Srijib Panda is a Senior Rice crop breeder by profession with a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding with more than 15 years of experience.
• Dr T Sravan is a Senior Maize crop breeder by profession with a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding with more than 7 years of experience.
• Supported by strong team of Research Associates having proven track record of plant breeding techniques and field designs.
• Our R&D Facility is DSIR Certified.
• We have a well equipped Infrastructure required for day to day Research and Development activities required. Well organized office for Breeders, Scientists and admin. Staff.
• We maintain all the Safety standards for our Scientists, Field Staff on the Field. We provide Hats, Aprons and Safety shoes.
